This little lovely makes me smile.  So sweet and soft and dainty.  She did so great, only cried when we tried to put her in this hard-as-a-rock bowl.  Can't say I blame her.

She was the first of many November newborns... So get ready for some more sweet cuddly posts coming soon!

    Baby Cole

Remember big sister Audrey here ?

    Wellll..... baby brother has arrived!

We didn't know if he was going to be a he or a she. Isn't that so fun? Props to Cole's mama. I don't think I could do it.  I took these shots in the hospital room where Cole and his parents were in. I loved being able to capture these first moments... so sweet.  And he is absolutely perfect in every way. Didn't make a peep the whole time.

Thanks to my friends J & J for letting me capture sweet Cole's first moments! Enjoy-

    Noah

    Remember this beautiful mama?

Well, he's here! Sweet Noah made his grand entrance a couple of weeks ago and I was so excited to do his newborn portraits. He. is. so. cute. ohmygoodness.  But don't let that cuteness deceive you. He is a tester-of-patience for sure! He really tried me. I mean, really. I was there a good 3 hours, and his eyes were as wide as saucers for that entire 3 hours. He was not going to sleep, and he did not want me to mess with him. But, I knew he had to eventually zonk out. They always do.  I knew if I just waited it out a bit longer, he would become putty. Guess what? He did. He passed out at about 3 hours and 30 minutes into our session. SO worth it to get these images! Enjoy~

    Lily.

Ah, little Lily.  Such a tiny little beautiful being.  Something about sweet-smelling, teeny-tiny baby girls just makes me happy.

I had so much fun with this sweet family, and am looking forward to many more sessions with them! Lily is going to be one of my "baby's first year" babies so I will get to play with her again very soon.  Lily let me try lots of fun things, as you can see below. She was SUCH a trooper, and put up with me for a few good hours. Whew!

    Enjoy~

    Cooper

Paul and I and the boys made the trek over to Huntsville, AL to capture sweet Cooper's first moments. His parents are friends of ours from Birmingham, and we were so glad to get to see them! We had a fun visit, and Cooper did so so so well. I had lots of favorites to choose from... here's a few for you to enjoy~

    Baby Tyler

    What a sweet babe.

Little bitty baby boys have a special place in my heart. I just loved my session with Tyler.  It's funny, because as the photographer, you have to bond with the newborns. I think that's where being a mother helps me so much with photographing this age. And I certainly did bond with this little man! Once he gave in to sleep, he was like putty in my hands.

The first picture posted is my actual first picture I took of him.  It's one of my favorites.  Mainly because it's one of those I-didn't-mean-to-do-that shots. After I got everything set up and ready to go, I had Tyler looking right at me with those distinct, piercing blue eyes. And then right as I hit the shutter, he let out this monster sneeze. Still, cute.  I loved his long legs, and curly lips, and perfect skin.  Personal favorite: the last shot. I love the diaper lines on his little bum. Onto the pics.....

    Baby Nate

I was so excited to do a newborn session this past week! It's been a month or so since my last one, and with the rapid growth of my (6-month old) baby, I got my little newborn baby fix.  Baby Nate did sooo well. He did not fuss (except when placed on the hard board on the 100-year-old scale, could you blame him?) and he did not even pee or poo on any of us or our things! That's pretty unheard of in the newborn baby photography realm. All in all, a great day. Hope you enjoy!

    Newborn Session: Graydon

Ahh, yet another newborn session! Little Graydon was such a cutie. He did great. He didn't pass out until the very very end, but I absolutely love his awake shots. Enjoy!

    Newborn Twins: Evie and Ramsey

My friend from high school, Alicia, has the cutest little baby girls. I was so glad I got to photograph them! We had so much fun... Evie was passed out the entire time, and Ramsey definitely did not want to miss out on any action. The twins had also conspired before the session and decided that they would not ever be caught smiling at the same time. Anyway, here's a few favorites from their session. SUCH a beautiful family. Enjoy!

This first one, featuring Maddie the dog, might be one of my personal favorites.

    Newborn Session: Leyton

Here are some of my favorites from Little Leyton's session. I had so much fun with her and her family! Let me just say that some of that diaper-off shots were... well... interesting :) I know better than to dress nicely for my newborns! But it was well worth it to get the images I did. Enjoy!
