Catching up... And holiday card info!

Since I posted last, I have been to Italy and back and am still a little jet-laggy.  Our trip was so amazing. I'll post pictures from it one of these days.  I'm still not quite back to normal- I'm passing out on the couch at about 7:30pm every night- and if you know me you know I'm the biggest night owl in America.  So bear with me! But if you've tried to contact me and haven't heard back, please try again! I tried to stay in touch overseas but was unable to stay 100% in contact with the old U.S. of A. So I'm knee-deep in processing orders, processing images, newborn shoots (did you know there was a baby boom for this November!?) and planning for this Saturday's amazing day full of holiday mini sessions! I love it all. 

Many of you have asked about holiday cards so I thought I'd post what this year's cards will look like.  My holiday mini clients have the option of ordering these cards with their mini-session, but if you were a client this past year and want an old image in a holiday card, you can order one as well. Prices start at $35 for a set of 25 cards.  These cards are flat 5x7s, printed on front and back.  Email me for additional info.

Baby Cole

Remember big sister Audrey here ?

Wellll..... baby brother has arrived!

We didn't know if he was going to be a he or a she. Isn't that so fun? Props to Cole's mama. I don't think I could do it.  I took these shots in the hospital room where Cole and his parents were in. I loved being able to capture these first moments... so sweet.  And he is absolutely perfect in every way. Didn't make a peep the whole time.

Noah

Remember this beautiful mama?

Well, he's here! Sweet Noah made his grand entrance a couple of weeks ago and I was so excited to do his newborn portraits. He. is. so. cute. ohmygoodness.  But don't let that cuteness deceive you. He is a tester-of-patience for sure! He really tried me. I mean, really. I was there a good 3 hours, and his eyes were as wide as saucers for that entire 3 hours. He was not going to sleep, and he did not want me to mess with him. But, I knew he had to eventually zonk out. They always do.  I knew if I just waited it out a bit longer, he would become putty. Guess what? He did. He passed out at about 3 hours and 30 minutes into our session. SO worth it to get these images! Enjoy~

Mclain.

What a pretty family!  We had so much fun playing around at the Memphis Botanic Gardens. The lighting was perfect and it was actually a beautiful non-rainy, non-dreary day! Mclain did so well! I am so excited about these images. I hope you enjoy them as well~

Brooks and Isabella.

This photo session was non. stop. ! These 2 little ones were so cute. Played together so well. And totally kept me on my toes! It was so much fun. Look at it this way- their mama, grandmama, and me were definitely able to get some cardio in!  Isabella was a photographer's dream, and Brooks met every expectation this mom of 2 boys had for a little boy! So so fun.

Marley.

Can I have a Marley? Please?

Little Marley just stole my heart. She is so stinkin' cute! I was telling Marley's mom that she just looks like a Marley. Soo much personality and such a beautiful smile. 

We had so much fun on this shoot! It felt like we were just playing around outside.  Marley changed wardrobes a few times, and the turquoise dress at the bottom was Marley's mama's dress when she was a little girl.  Isn't that so great?!

Lily.

Ah, little Lily.  Such a tiny little beautiful being.  Something about sweet-smelling, teeny-tiny baby girls just makes me happy. 

I had so much fun with this sweet family, and am looking forward to many more sessions with them! Lily is going to be one of my "baby's first year" babies so I will get to play with her again very soon.  Lily let me try lots of fun things, as you can see below. She was SUCH a trooper, and put up with me for a few good hours. Whew!

More around the house/never-ending rain

Will the rain ever end? I'm starting to think no.

Luckily I have 2 little cuties to take pictures of 24/7, and usually I never have time to take pictures of my own. So it's kind of worked out well! Jack's (the 8-month-old) room gets great light, and when I went in to get him out of bed yesterday afternoon, I saw him sitting up in the crib with both legs just dangling outside the rails. I got nervous at first because his thighs are SO.FAT., I had a vision in my mind of me and Charlie with a tub of butter greasin' up the rails that the Swedes at Ikea had so carefully (and cost-effectively!) engineered.  Fortunately, the chunkster's thighs came right out. But before they did, I decided it was a great time for an impromptu photo sesh with these 2 little monkeys, jumping on the bed.  

Big eyes and big thighs, huh?!
